Alma Matter® sprung to life as a creative spark in my studio. As a freelance designer, I nurtured its growth and sold my creations under this brand. Over time, it blossomed into a dynamic streetwear label, weaving branding elements seamlessly into casual staples like caps and beanies. This journey has been nothing short of exhilarating."
The graphics
The outcome? A minimalist typeface crafted from elemental simplicity. A triangle, symbolizing 'north' or the majestic 'pine tree', intertwined with the profound words of the Mexican president: 'respect for the rights of others is peace'. This fusion encapsulates a powerful narrative within its understated design.
Label design
In crafting our product concept, we embarked on a mission to infuse sustainability and innovation. Our solution? Designing biodegradable, plantable labels. The premise was elegantly simple: procure paper embedded with flower and plant seeds, then seal our message with a humble stamp. This eco-conscious approach was particularly poignant given the limited production numbers of our caps.
